Austral Mount Bar for use when using the Austral Retractaway clothes line in a post to post, or post to wall mounting system.

The mounting bar allows for the retractable clothes line (models 40 and 50) to be installed on a post for a free standing mounting situation.

The Austral Retractaway Mount Bar may be fitted to a Retractable Post using the 2 centrally drilled holes. The Cabinet may be fixed to the holes drilled at each end of the Mount Bar.

The Austral Mount Bar includes washers and bolts to fix the Cabinet.

The Galvanised Finish mount bar option is available for all NSW Only colours. The Mount Bar is completely covered by the Retractaway unit, so it is not visible when looking at the unit from front on.

Austral Retractaway Posts can be used in a number of different configurations, including from Wall to Post, Post to Wall or Post to Post mounting of the Austral Retractaway clotheslines.

The Austral post is available in a choice of colours, either Classic Cream or Woodland Grey finish, and comes pre-drilled with bolts, washers and nuts to allow easy fitting. Pre-mix cement is required to install the post into soil.

They can be either a Standard Post which is suitable for fixing into the ground (grass/soil) or the Plated Post which has a welded steel plate at the base of the post suitable for bolting down on top of an existing concrete area.

The use of a Ground Socket will allow the Post to be removable. A Mounting Bar is required if the cabinet is to be fitted to a post.

Austral Ground Socket

The Austral ground socket fits all Austral Foldaway rotary clotheslines including both the Foldaway 45 and 51 units, plus the Austral Retractable clothesline posts.

This Austral ground socket allows for either the rotary clothes line or retractable clothes line post to be removed from the ground if required after installation.

The Galvanized Pin that comes with the ground socket is used to set the height of the Austral FoldAway Rotary units during the installation process.

The Pin is punched through the side of the Ground Socket at various pre-determined points to fix the nominated height and allow easy use of the clothesline. No pin required when used with Austral Retractaway Post.

Clothesline Installation Service

Clothesline Installation Service

Lifestyle Clotheslines is now offering a clothesline installation service for all outdoor clothesline products purchased through our website.

We have a dedicated team of installers throughout Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Canberra, plus many other major cities in Australia, who take the hassle out of installing your new clothes line.

A flat rate is charged for a standard installation*, with other services such as old clothes line removal and core hole drilling also available for a additional fee's.

Clotheslines can be installed into and onto most surfaces commonly found today, including grass or soil ground areas, concrete slabs, pavers, tiles, concrete walls, and brick walls.

For installation onto weatherboard, hebel or a fence (timber, colorbond, etc), it is technically possible, but this type of installation is not recommended by Lifestyle Clotheslines and our installers will generally not install to this type of surface. In most situations, we do offer another alternative to this type of installation, such as installing the clothesline to a ground mount kit directly in front of the weatherboard or fence.

(*) Standard meaning no rock or concrete obstructions

All dirt from any holes dug in relation to clothesline installation is the responsibility of the customer and is not removed from site.

If rock is struck when digging or the clothesline needs to be installed into rock, an extra charge of $80.00 will be charged for jackhammering.

Taking away of the old line is $60.00 to cut off and remove. This means that your old clothesline will be cut off at the very ground level and dismantled and disposed of from your premises. Please note the old concrete in the ground will not be dug out and removed.

A core drilling service is also available for those installations that require it. This service is best used when installing clotheslines into paving, concrete pads or decks and solid rock formations. The cost for this service is $100.00 per hole, however this may vary depending on your area.

As a point of guidance, our installers Core Hole Drill at a diameter of 125mm to 250mm.

Please Note: Our installation service is for the installation of clotheslines. This does not include clothesline covers.
