More Information & Clothesline Installation Service FAQs:
In certain situations, the location requirements may vary based on the specific brand or model of the new clothesline to be installed.
For example, when replacing a folding rotary clothesline with a fixed rotary hoist, removal of the existing ground socket may be required to accommodate a deeper and larger hole which will then be filled with concrete to secure the new clothesline.
It's worth noting that brands such as Hills and Austral provide ground sockets specific to their own clothesline models.
Using the designated ground socket supplied by the manufacturer is most recommended since it ensures the structural integrity and reliability of the clothesline.
In the event of replacing a fixed rotary hoist with a new unit, the standard installation service only covers the removal of the existing clothesline (cut off from the concrete footing) Removal of the concrete footing is not included in the service.
The optimum height for drying lines is approximately 100mm - 150mm above the primary user's head height.
This ensures ease of use, appropriate clearance from the ground for longer items, and facilitates airflow for efficient drying of your laundry.
The standard installation service includes handling/delivery of your clothesline (if dispatched directly to a nearby service provider), assembly, and installation on suitable surfaces.
The removal of any soil resulting from excavation related to clothesline installation is the responsibility of the customer and shall not be undertaken by the service provider.
In the event of encountering rock during excavation or when installation into rock is required, an additional fee of $80.00 will be applied to cover the cost of jackhammering.
Removal of the existing clothesline entails a fee of $60.00, inclusive of cutting, dismantling, and disposal at ground level.
It should be noted that any concrete footings will not be extracted or removed.
For installations requiring core drilling, such as those into paving, concrete pads, decks, or solid rock formations, a specialised service is available.
The fee for this service is $100.00 per hole, price may vary depending on your area.
